We are Joan Costes and Adrien de Maublanc.

We have been composing music, digging records, performing, drawing, designing, creating installation among other unclassified projects under the name Masomenos since 2005.We regularly expand the borders of our creativ territory by experimenting with new medias.

ABOUT…

We have been working for more than ten years on creating a universe in which psychedelic imagery melts with a bunch a tribal and childlike creatures.We like to experiment with new forms of expression, constantly pushing the boundaries of our playground as performer, creator and artistic director. We develop our universe through various media such as music, graphics, paintings, lights, installations, objects, fashion, 3D, videos and mapping. Symbols and anthems from neighbouring civilisations enter our universe, where spirituality plays a significant role. From South America to Africa and Asia, we have brought from our travels inspirations and themes, such as masks, totems or even animals. Our creation can be any shape, as long as it allows for listening, seeing and feeling… Enjoy!

2007 We launched our own label Welcome To Masomenos (WTM Label) on which we release our productions and collaborations with friends.
2013 We gave birth to a new form of expression when we designed and realised our first audio-visual installations (Tofidi).
The same year, we had some further reflections on the interaction between music and its visual transcription, the audience and its contact with the “digital” work.
2014 We were invited by Kate Simko from the London Electronic Orchestra to create a video programme, a sort of psycho-poetic interpretation of the music pieces played by the symphonic orchestra at the Britten Theatre. Our song “Coco Classico” was played on that occasion.
2016 We start presenting some of our artistic installations at La Cité de la Mode et du Design and the Hotel Costes in Paris.
The same year, we created our own Studio (WTM Studio) for many different projects where we can put together all our skills with our creative team.
